This self-defence workshop for women is more than just learning techniques, it’s a journey into your own strength, resilience, and power. Designed specifically for women, this workshop will teach you the fundamentals of Brazilian Jiu Jitsu and self-defence while helping you reconnect with your body’s wisdom.
Join our Women’s Self-Defence Class on the third Sunday of each month, 10:00 AM - 12:00 PM at Point Break Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, Mullumbimby. This class is led by coaches Reon and Amanda Fisher, who bring years of experience , creating a supportive space where women can learn practical techniques, build confidence, and enhance personal safety through Brazilian Jiu Jitsu.
About Your Coaches
Reon Fisher A brown belt in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu with a decade of experience and a commitment to women's safety after a 2023 home invasion incident.
Amanda Jayne Fisher A trauma-informed Kinesiologist and facilitator with 15 years of experience, passionate about using Jiu Jitsu as a path to healing and empowerment.
What You Will Learn: Simple and effective self-defence techniques to protect yourself in real-world situations. Brazilian Jujitsu fundamentals, emphasizing leverage and strategy over strength. How to set and enforce physical and energetic boundaries with confidence. Tools to increase awareness, trust your instincts, and stay grounded in challenging situations.
What You Will Experience: A safe, supportive, and women-cantered environment. Practical skills for real-life scenarios. An empowering connection with other women, building community and sisterhood. Somatic practices to release fear and embody confidence.
